Captain Zebrowski – fought in September in Szalewicz group which marched on to Chelm in the second phase of the campaign; took part in the Battle of Laszczow where so many Germans died – got wounded. He escaped from the Soviet prison. He fought in France in the Regiment of Grenadiers. He ran away from the German convoy in Colmar. Again, he escaped from the German prison in Bezancon (because the Swiss handed him back to the Germans). Since then he had a passport for a man of eighteen and another one for a man of forty years, obtained a Spanish and a Portuguese visa, and even a travel permit for Shanghai. Finally, he ended up in England in the military college.
