The Article on Ballet in this issue has inspired our artist to devote the front cover to Nadia Nerina in the role of the dying Swan.

Nineteen years ago (1938) a little South African girl named Nadine Judd was told by her doctor that she should take up dancing to strengthen her ankles. That simple advice has led her to the pinnacles of ballet achievements in every part of the world.
